Privacy

Short version: we count visits so we can see what's useful, we don't track you, and the only personal details we keep are the ones you give us when you ask for early access.

What we measure

When you visit, a small script on this site (served from our own domain, not a third party) tells our own server which page you viewed, which of our buttons and which outbound links you clicked, the website that sent you here, and whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer. Our server works out your approximate location (country and region, and city in totals only) from your IP address, then discards the IP address. We don't store your IP address in our analytics database.

What we never do

We set no cookies. We don't fingerprint your browser. We don't give you an ID that follows you from one visit to the next: a random code lives in your browser tab only until you close the tab, so we can tell that several page views belong to one visit, and then it's gone. We use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services on this website. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the script sends nothing at all.

How long we keep it

Individual analytics events are deleted after 90 days. Daily totals (counts only, with no individual events) are kept for 25 months so we can see trends. The temporary codes we use to limit abuse are deleted within two days.

Early access requests

If you ask for early access, we keep the email address, role, city and any optional name or note you give us, so we can reply and manage early access. We email these details to our team, we don't sell or share them, and we don't send you anything you didn't ask for. We delete early-access requests after 24 months, or sooner if you ask: email team@ledgexproperties.com and we'll delete yours. If you email us instead, we use your message only to reply and to manage early access.

Research emails

If you sign up for research emails, we keep your email address and use it only to send you new LedgeX Research. Kit, our email service, stores the list and sends the emails for us, and records whether an email is opened or a link is clicked. You confirm your address before we send anything, every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can ask us at team@ledgexproperties.com to delete your address. We don't sell or share it.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs that include your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser's user-agent. We use these logs only to keep the site secure, to diagnose problems and to operate the service: never for analytics, advertising or profiling, and we don't combine them with the data above. Only our authorized administrators can access them. We delete them automatically, normally within about five weeks. Our hosting provider (Namecheap) may separately keep its own server logs under its own policies.

Error monitoring

If our server hits an internal error while handling a request, it sends a short technical report to our error-monitoring provider, PostHog, so we can fix it: the type of error and the places in our code where it happened. The report contains nothing about you: no IP address, no page content, nothing you typed, and no cookie or ID. This is not analytics and is never used to track visits.

Fonts and location data

The site serves its typefaces (Public Sans and IBM Plex Mono, both under the SIL Open Font License) from its own server, so loading a page sends no request to a font provider. Approximate location uses IP geolocation data by DB-IP.
